Gold Capped Conures

Gold-capped Conures are intelligent, playful, and affectionate parrots that require a massive commitment. You must be prepared for a 25+ year lifespan, significant daily out-of-cage interaction, and loud vocalizations often compared to "little macaws".

High Social Needs: These are highly flock-oriented birds that can become depressed or develop self-destructive habits (like feather plucking) if left alone all day.

Out-of-Cage Time: They require a minimum of 3 to 4 hours of supervised out-of-cage interaction and exercise daily.

Loud Vocalizations: Despite their small size, Gold-caps have a sharp, powerful screech that isn't ideal for apartment living or close neighbors.

Avid Chewers: They have a strong need to chew and forage. You must provide plenty of chew-safe toys, wood, and cardboard to prevent them from destroying your furniture.
